Yesterday, The Campaign for Wool launched UK Wool Week by transforming the length of Savile Row into grazing meadows, and filling it with two breeds of sheep.
Bowmont Merino and Exmoor Horn sheep grazed along the fields, and they were joined by 25 models each wearing bespoke wool outfits. The tailoring houses that took part were grouped into three themes, Icelandic, Bespoke and Traveller.
Our model who was part of the Icelandic theme, is wearing an ivory bespoke pea coat with a half-belt and box pleat at the back and a quilted lining. The coat was cut by Leon Powell and the cloth is Holland & Sherry 983009 27 oz.
The moss green Harris Tweed trousers with cross pockets, a hip pocket with flap and a button fly, were cut by our trouser cutter Oliver Spencer. The cloth is Holland & Sherry 892027 16/17 oz.
Wool Week runs from October 5-11. For more information about The Campaign for Wool visit www.campaignforwool.org
